| Proposal Manager DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Review received tenders both technically and commercially; analyse customer provided data and develop technical solutions that exceed client expectations whilst enhancing Pentair Thermal Management chances of securing an order • Conduct bid / no-bid and risk analyses and qualifying each opportunity before proceeding • Development of bid strategy with Local sales team and subsequent implementation • Quantify and compare alternative solutions that can be presented as part of our submission to the client • Understand what the competition will offer to meet the same client requirements, and how they will meet these requirements • Ensure that proposals are completed on time • Maintain thorough records through the tendering process to ensure proper and efficient handover to project teams on contract award. • Provide technical support and follow up of proposals • Attend bid clarification and project meetings where required • Develop an understanding of how Pentair Thermal Management operates in all areas so that our true costs can be captured and covered within a proposal • Build a working relationship with other team members within the Local and Strategic Projects Proposal Groups • Build a trusting relationship with the IS Sales and Execution teams. • Continuously develop the Proposal process, tools and package to enhance the quality of proposals • Continuously develop the job holder’s knowledge of the products and services that we offer Management reserve the right to assign or re-define duties and instruct the post holder to carry out any other duty commensurate with this post. EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Required: • Preferably qualified to Degree level in an Electrical Engineering or equivalent Discipline • Previous experience in an electrical/ mechanical site or proposal/ tendering role • Experience in power distribution, petrochemical or process environments • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a proven team player. • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. • English language skills essential | |
